Wahiti looks to enhance consumers’ quality of life, prioritize sustainability, recognize its roots, and contribute meaningfully to the local and outdoor community.

Currently, a company based out of our garage with an online presence, we hope to grow large enough to own a storefront thanks to our fantastic supporters.
What is the meaning behind the word "Wahiti"?
Rooted in the language of Maori, the term Wahiti was created from the fusion of the words wahi denoting small and iti meaning place. The inspiration behind the brand’s name is associated with the idea of paying tribute to the small place of Del Norte County in which its outdoor presence emerged. The selection of the name holds profound significance, as it not only pays homage to the breathtaking natural landscapes that sparked the brand’s inspiration of creating quality clothing for the outdoors but also stands as a symbol that brands in small places can have an impact as well. Additionally, it encapsulates and commemorates the sense of community and support that is engraved in the roots of the town.
Where did the logo come from?
This variety of scenery finds its expression in our logo, where the wave embodies the ocean, the crack just beneath the peak signifies the river, the tree within the word “Wahiti symbolizes our towering Redwoods and the mountains serve as an emblem of the wilderness that surrounds us. Recognizing the immense value of our locale and the entire planet as a whole, our brand wants to do its part in helping to keep our world in pristine condition by being sustainable.
How was it founded?
Emerging from Crescent City, CA, this brand sprang to life at the crossroads of creativity and the natural beauty of Del Norte. During the Pandemic, many found themselves with extra time on their hands. For the creator, this meant cultivating a newfound appreciation for both the outdoors and art. The fusion of these passions ignited a creative vision that birthed Wahiti. In the process of establishing Wahiti, much consideration was carefully put into crafting a high-quality brand that captures the satisfaction of nature’s allure, gives back to its local and outdoor community, pays homage to its origin, and actively contributes to sustainability efforts.
